The Sunyani Traditional Council has rejected President Akufo-Addo’s nominee for the position of Brong Ahafo Regional Minister Kwaku Asomah Cheremeh.
According to the Sunyani Traditional Council, they cannot work with Mr. Cheremeh because of his disrespectful attitude towards them.
The Sunyani Krontihene Nana Bofotia Boamposem addressing a press conference in Sunyani Thursday said the president must reconsider his appointment of Mr. Cheremeh because they will not support the minister-designate in his new role.
They noted that the Minister-designate has not shown respect to the Sunyani Traditional Council over the years, this they believe would not help the relationship between the council and the Minister if he is given the nod.
Nana Boamposem also noted that the Minister designate does not respect the NPP Council of Elders because he disregarded an attempt by the elders to settle the impasse between them.
