Mike Hammah, a former Transport Minister under the erstwhile [late] John Evans Atta-Mills administration has lauded the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government led by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on its implementation of the Free SHS policy describing it as one of Ghana’s best policies the country has witnessed.
Speaking on Kumasi based Angel FM with Kwame Tanko (KT) monitored by, the leading member of the NDC touted feet adding that the development of any country stems from the quality of its human resource and that can only be achieved through education hence, it necessary to commend the NPP government for implementing the Free SHS program.
‘’Kwame, The Free SHS is a wonderful policy, I think it is one of the best things that has happened to us as a country. Although, they should have mitigated the possible risks and the optimum risk adjustment before rolling it out.
I think it is a good policy which deserves support and commendation’’ He repeated.
Hon. Mike Hammah further stated that, the NDC solidly supports the Free SHS policy and in the event that they come to power and have to review it, he is sure it will be a positive review to mitigate the loopholes within the policy and not to scrap it off or collapse it.
‘’Anybody who says, the NDC does not support the Free SHS probably does not truly support the NDC party. It’s a very good policy, I credit the NPP for that. We all want Ghana to move forward. I fully support the policy’’. He said.
